Credit amount: 150 hours of CME credits per licensure cycle. There are no CME requirements for first time license renewals.

Topics: As of January 1, 2020, physicians in Illinois must complete 3 CME hours in safe opioid prescribing practices and 1 CME in sexual harassment prevention. Over 100 CME credits can be taken on any topic.

The Illinois Board of Medical Examiners and the Medical Licensure Commission of Illinois are Illinois’s governing bodies for CME and medical license requirements. Their mission is to:
